Study on Correlation and Path Coeffic i ent in F Progenies of Rapeseed ( Brassica rapa
نویسنده
چکیده
The experiment was conducted to study the variability among seven parental genotypes and their twenty one F progenies of Brassica rapa at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh. 2 Results showed that seed yield plant had significant positive association with number of primary branches 1 plant , number of secondary branches plant , number of siliquae plant . Path co-efficient analysis revealed 1 1 1 that days to 50% flowering, number of primary branches, secondary branches and siliquae plant , siliqua 1 length, seeds siliqua and thousand seed weight had the positive direct effect on seed yield plant . Days to 1 1 maturity and plant height had the negative direct effect on yield plant . 1

Oil, erucic acid, and glucosinolate contents in winter hardy rapeseed germplasms
The US industry uses :18 million kg of high erucic acid oil annually, mostly from imports. Therefore, a large overall market potential exists for development of annually renewable domestic sources of erucic acid. The present research was conducted to characterize the winter hardy rapeseed germplasm for oil, erucic acid, and glucosinolate contents for use in breeding programs to develop commerci...
متن کاملCorrelation and Path Coefficient Analysis in Fat and Fatty Acids of Rapeseed and Mustard
Twenty-two genotypes of Brassica (B. rapa, B. juncea, and B. napus) were studied for correlation co-efficient between major fatty acids and path coefficient analysis to partition the cause and effect relationship into direct and indirect components. Correlation coefficient of major fatty acids revealed that significant and positive correlation was between palmitic and oleic acids, palmitic and ...
متن کاملResponse of different species of Brassica to water deficit
Development of drought-tolerant cultivars is hampered by a lack of effective selectioncriteria. In this research, response of 36 genotypes of rapeseed from seven species of Brassicaincluding B. napus, B. rapa, B. juncea, B. carinata, B. oleracea, B. nigra and B. fruticulosa wasassessed under three moisture levels (no stress, mild stress and intense stress) in the field during2011-2012. Five dro...
متن کاملThe Natural Variation of Seed Weight Is Mainly Controlled by Maternal Genotype in Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)
Seed weight is a very important and complex trait in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.). The seed weight of rapeseed shows great variation in its natural germplasm resources; however, the morphological, cytological and genetic causes of this variation have remained unclear. In the present study, nine highly pure inbred rapeseed lines with large seed weight variation and different genetic backgrounds ...
متن کاملInterrelationships among grain yield and related characters of four oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) cultivars under drought stress conditions
Four rapeseed cultivars (Hayola 401, Hayola 308, RGS and Option) were evaluated for some physiological traits under stress (50 % field capacity (FC) and non-stress (irrigated) conditions. The factorial set of treatments was arranged within a randomized complete block design with three replications. The collected data were analyzed using path and factor analyses. These is results showed that...
